About Us
Queen Street Medical Centre is located in Moruya and Broulee Beach, on the South Coast of NSW. For over 40 years, our practice has provided a comprehensive range of health care services to the Eurobodalla community, including some aged care facilities and some of the GPs also consult at Moruya Hospital - a long-standing practice tradition.Now in two locations at Moruya and Broulee Beach, QSMC supports 17 general practitioners complimented by a dedicated team of 4 registered nurses and 14 administrative staff.

Our registered nurses are a dedicated, hardworking team of professionals. Their expertise and experience combine with a caring, compassionate approach and unwavering emphasis on patient care, comfort, education and respect.As a QSMC Practice Nurse, your role is challenging and diverse but above all - rewarding. Working in association with our GPs, our nurses play a leading role in the delivery of healthcare to many hundreds of patients each week.
Our nurses manage clinics for cervical screening and chronic disease management. They contribute to GP management plans and conduct health care assessments. In addition, the nurses provide services in wound care, employment medicals, assisting with procedures, childhood and travel immunisations, setting up for venesections and performing infusions, cannulation, administering medications and injection as required, sterilisation, triage, spirometry, ear wash-outs, ECGs and much more. We also support and encourage further learning opportunities to enhance your career in primary health care.
Registered Practice Nurse Selection Criteria
- Experience working in a primary health care setting in both Acute and Chronic Areas
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families, doctors and colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork
- Knowledge of WH&S as it applies in a practical nursing/healthcare environment
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - AHPRA as a registered nurse
- Drivers Licence
- CPR
- Immunisation Certificate (ideal but not essential)
