We won't typically send you updates on your test results unless you contact us by phone. We're happy to report that your recent test results are normal and healthy.
If you have any concerns about these results, you can always talk to your doctor at your next check-up.
Please phone us for your results. We all share the responsibility to make sure your tests are acted upon if needed. Please don’t assume your results are normal.
All pathology results are received by your doctor and recorded in your personal health record.

Are you confused about your test results?

Pathology Tests Explained is a site set up by a group of medical and scientific organizations to provide accurate and easy-to-understand information about pathology testing.
They are independent and do not accept or post advertisements so you can trust their information. Various professional organizations and the government fund the group, so you can be sure the information is free from commercial interests.
The information is presented clearly and concisely, with the most essential details explained first. Their approach makes it easy for everyone to understand, even if you're unfamiliar with technical jargon.
If you have a My Health Record, you'll find a link to the Pathology Tests Explained website on your test results page. If you don't have a record, jump over and explore this extensive online resource. Who writes the information?
Information on Pathology Tests Explained is produced in collaboration with practising pathologists and scientists, including some of Australia's foremost authorities who work in public and private pathology laboratories or hold appointments with professional societies.

Our Health Reminders and Recalls

Our efficient recall and reminder system ensures that we conduct all necessary tests, follow-ups, and examinations at the appropriate time in our clinics. Our doctors are responsible for keeping track of these reminders, and our Better Health program coordinator may get in touch with you to schedule a clinic appointment or a consultation with your doctor whenever a reminder is due.
During your consultation, we recommend that you ask your doctor if there are any pending recalls or reminders. We also participate in the Cervical Screening (formerly known as Pap Tests) and bowel screening reminder system initiated by the government. Please inform your doctor if you wish to opt out of this program.
