Our cake fest raises over $400

Congrats to our Jules who rounded staff and doctors up to follow her lead to bake up big for Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (Australia) – Jules has a target of $600 and after this morning’s cake fest she is almost there.
Australian obstetrician-gynaecologist Dr Catherine Hamline AC is the co-founder of the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital and the Hamlin College of Midwives. Catherine and her husband Reg first visited Ethiopia in the 1950’s to train midwives were unable to ignore the terrible plight of the obstetric fistula patients. $600 pays for one standard fistula operation to restore a women’s dignity.
Thank you to all our patients who have donated – we are well on our way to helping Jules reach her target and beyond.
If you would like to make a donation we have a small display in our waiting room on the front desk. You may also like to visit hamlin.org.au to find out more.
