As we greet these first days of Spring, it seems fitting to be extending a warm welcome to Dr Bronwyn Henderson. Dr Henderson is the newest member of our practice GP team taking our tally of GPs joining the practice since August 2019, to six . This team of six now comprises doctors Nadira Khan, Shenoa Holliday, Gareth Carroll, Polina Smerdova, Lisa Brown and Bronwyn Henderson.
An impressive academic record underpins Bronwyn’s clinical career and experience. Bronwyn started her clinical career in 2005 as an intensive care paramedic and clinical education tutor in Auckland, New Zealand. Having since changed tack to study and then pursue her medical career, in 2017 Bronwyn was appointed a resident medical officer and later as an emergency department registrar at Wollongong and Shoalhaven hospitals.
Since March this year, Bronwyn has also been working as an occasional locum emergency department (ED) registrar at Moruya and Batemans Bay hospital emergency departments. She will continue her ED work at our hospitals while gaining her general practice experience under the guidance of our clinical training director Dr Les Roberts-Thomson and supported by our skilled GP team. Dr Henderson is now consulting Tuesday to Thursday at our Moruya practice.
