General Practitioner | the ultimate sea change

Beautiful South Coast location, 2 hours to Canberra
    Progressive private practice
    Flexible, family-friendly culture
Freedom to develop your clinical skills

Feeling locked down? Wanting more clinical responsibility? Do you want to look forward to going to work? Do you only want to work three days a week? Have you got your balance, right? Looking at the doctor wanted ads and wondering whether a change would make a difference?

We are a long-established, progressive practice with plenty to offer. Our 17 GP Moruya practice operates in the Queen Street Medical Centre – also home to a range of allied health professionals, services, and visiting specialists. Our practice team led the 10-year expansion of this centre – delivering an impressive hub of essential healthcare services to our community including MRI and Nuclear Imaging. Our second practice is located at beautiful Broulee beach.

Our philosophy “Your health is our shared journey” directs all that we do and reflects the professional care and high value we place upon our patient community and practice team.

You’ll have plenty of freedom to practice and develop your skills, for example, many of our GPs provide procedural, emergency, and rehabilitation services at Moruya District Hospital and most have areas of special interest including obstetrics, drug and alcohol, minor surgery, skin cancer management and sport/diving medicine. We’re also at the forefront of vocational training for GP registrars and ANU medical students.

We have a practice that allows our doctors and our support team to have a better life while at the same time practicing medicine in a social, supported, and intellectually satisfying way. General practice doesn’t get better than this.

If you’re considering a change – we’d be happy to connect with you.

“As an ACRRM Emergency Medicine registrar I have wonderful consultant support at Queen Street Medical Centre. The case mix and the hands on environment of the local emergency department provide a great combination to give excellent rural ED training.”

I am a Queen Street Medical Centre GP and VMO at Moruya Hospital in obstetrics and on the general ward. I arrived in 2006 as a registrar and the work and lifestyle was so good here, I never left! I am passionate about GP registrar and medical student training. I am Senior Lecturer and Academic Coordinator in the Eurobodalla for the ANU Faculty of Medicine.
