We know that maintaining regular physical activity and exercise is important for good long term health. “For people living with and managing cancer, physical activity and exercise is even more important.” says Aden Reynolds, Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
“The physical and psychological effects of a cancer diagnosis and treatments can be long lasting. These effects can be experienced well beyond stopping treatment. Symptoms can include fatigue, wide spread muscle soreness and changes in our mood. The great news is that a suitable exercise program can assist with and improve the management of these symptoms.“
Depending on the cancer, treatment and personal physiology, experiences with cancer will be individualised.
An Exercise Physiologist (EP) can help determine a suitable exercise program for anyone managing a cancer diagnosis. Your EP will take a holistic approach, taking into account your cancer journey so far, your symptoms, your goals and any other specific needs.
Eurobodalla Health and Fitness in Batemans Bay offers a series of exercise group options, including oncology specific classes, both in person and online.
